        Welcome to Meuang Xay town (also known as Oudomxay) the capital of the multi-ethnic Province of Oudomxay situated in the Nam Kor basin and surrounded by scenic mountains. The town is formed by small villages at an important point of intersection in Northern Laos. Welcome to Pakbeng District the golden land of Mekong river bank
 Hoon District is on the way to Pakbeng and what you can do there is to visit the amazing Tadtalae waterfall, Tadnamhaeng waterfall, and the sacred forests as well as candle trees. The most interesting site is Tadtalae waterfall, is a very famous place for the local Lao people there to relax and having picnic, especially on weekends after have been working hard for a week and want to refresh themselves by these water. To the mentioned waterfall is only 45 Kilometers from Hoon town and the road is not yet paved. You also pass through different minority villages on the way to the waterfall.
         Pakbeng is a small town, located on the Mekong River about halfway between the Thai border at Huay Xai and Luang Prabang, Laos. Pakbeng is connected by a sealed road with Oudomxai along the Nam Beng River. Most tourists will have to stop here over-night on the slow-boat trip to/from Luang Prabang. It`s also possible to arrive by speedboat en route to the north. Much more uncomfortable than the slow boat, however you will arrive before the slow boat. There are several guesthouses that usually have attached restaurants, a sauna, and many local hill tribes living close by. You also get to see the town as the only Westerner. More info Click on photo

Welcome to Muang La

         The simply Meuang La district, Located on north west only 28 km from Meuang Xay town on the way to Phongsala, is a small idyllic district town situated by the Nam Phaak river. A favored location of Joe Cummins, author of Lonely planet, including cultural, ethnic, and natural sites.
 Among them are the famous Khummu Temple, Vat Prachao Singkham, hot spring, traditional salt production activities from nearby salt mine throughout the area, and typical Thai Lue architecture. Meuang La can also serve as the starting point for impressive excursions to remote ethnic and cultural villages nestled among rice fields, forests and mountains. On the way to Meuang La, you will have the opportunity to stop for an agreeable 2-hour walk to Singkham Buddha Cave and to visit the Khamu village Samakhisay.

Welcome to Beng District

         Beng is a small district, is on the direction to Pakbeng and situated between Xay Town and Hoon town, approximately 64 Kilometers from Xay town. The district covers an area of 2,221 Square Kilometers, 80 % is mountainous and lowland is 20 %. There are 5,819 households, the total population number is 34,745 – female is 17.314. The district density is 16 persons per 1 Kilometer. The existing tribes in the district are Thai Lue, Yang, Tai, Khummu and Hmong. The most famous cultural tourism target village is Ban Nyor – an old Thai Lue Village. It’s famous for textile weaving, cotton processing, pottery production, basketry and homestay. Most tourists are interested in these kinds of existing activities. Mostly, they are from travel agencies. The village is advertised through different tourism companies and it’s now well-known and become one of the most interesting tourist destinations in Oudomxay Province, particularly in beng District. The purpose to visiting Narmor District is to perceive and experience different hill tribes, livelihood, as well as their own unique cultural practice. You can also visit the well-known underground water, which is come out from a small cave, the best place for local people for having picnic, relax, swimming and others. The slogan for the district is Try bitter bamboo shoot - Good to see the underground water – covered by 12 ethnic groups.

Muang Ngar is a small town, situation on the southwest from Muang Xay Town 66 km. Muang Ngar is one of the Beautiful town  and  close to Luang Prabang by Mekong river. The road to Muang Ngar is still of road and many thing is still nature with under development town.  A famous tourism attraction is a Tourist lodge in YoiHai Village with khummu Ethnic lifestyle.
